Coastal Blue Vacations offers this beautiful home located in a quaint neighborhood of Blue Mountain Beach which is characterized by both lavish private residences and coastal dune lakes, making it one of a kind. Enjoy your privacy and the best part is that you can still walk to several local dining hot spots and shops such as Blue Mountain Creamery, Redfish Taco, Cowgirl Kitchen, McTighes, For the Health of It, and Blue Mountain Bakery. If you decide to go fishing, hiking or paddle boarding, you can enjoy one of the coastal dune lakes nearby. After a long day on the beach you can come back to your private oasis and relax at your own private pool and outdoor area or grill a wonderful meal for your family. This is the perfect spot!

We had a great stay at Shell of a Time for family trip to the beach. The house was perfect for several couples and had everything we needed. Kitchen was well equipped and living area was perfect for family nights. Pool and patio were a great way to spend afternoons after a day at the beach. Golf cart was an extra perk to run short errands or shuttle to the beach which was about 3-5 min walk. Only issue we had was some problem with the A/C but the property manager was quick to respond and send a tech out for repairs. Great stay and a great property!

We've been coming to this area for many years. This was our first stay in this particular house. The downstairs layout was ideal. It was spacious, clean, had comfortable couches and the kitchen was well stocked. The pool was great too. The downstairs master bedroom was perfect with its large closet and bathroom. The laundry and storage area were great for golf clubs or beach bags. The upstairs features king beds in each room and private bathrooms, which are both a plus. There is also a bunkbed room. The upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms are very small though. They do have closets, but those are small too. The location was great for short walks to the beach with private access and/or restaurants. The property management company did a nice job of responding to a few issues we had with the air conditioner, pool light and some locked spaces so we appreciated that. The only cons, besides the lack of space in the upstairs bed and baths are that it comes with a golf cart, but the golf cart is pretty outdated and old. The seats are really worn and maneuvering the cart was difficult. It also has a charcoal grill so you have to purchase charcoal, matches, lighter fluid...etc. Finally - the couch cushions on the outdoor furniture both upstairs and downstairs were dirty but I'm sure those are difficult to keep clean in prime months. Overall, the communication was great, the main area of the house was perfect and the location was ideal.

Wonderful stay

We enjoyed our stay with 9 family members with kids ranging from infants to teenagers. The heated backyard pool was perfect for when everyone needed a break from the beautiful beach.

Great home and location!

Stayed in this home for our family beach trip (7 adults + 3 kids). Plenty of space to hang out together- both inside and by the pool. Very clean, great amenities. Property manager was quick to respond and wonderful to work with. Short walk to the beach - golf cart was a huge plus for hauling beach gear. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful and comfortable home!

Shell of a time was a perfect stay for our family. We loved the warm pool and close proximity to the beach. The kitchen was more than adequate for cooking and all the beds were comfortable. Great attentiveness by the host.

Repeat Awesomeness

Second year in a row at this house and just as fabulous. Great service, gorgeous and spacious house. Pool is great and cornhole is a big hit with the teens. Renting the golf cart made shlepping all our gear to the beach even easier. It's really such a lovely property, you don't need to do anything but house-beach-pool-repeat. Be back next year!

Family fun

We had six adults and two toddlers and had a very good time. The house is lovely and outfitted very well. The pool was great especially as it was heated and the storms kept things cool. The location was perfect and we enjoyed ourselves very much. The only thing I was surprised about was paying for the golf cart. The listing suggested to me it was with the rental fee, but I was wrong. We mostly walked but did rent for two of our days. Would stay again as it was a beautiful place with great location!

We had a terrific stay here. The property is exactly as described. It is a beautiful home and is very well appointed (kitchen fully stocked, plenty of towels and linens, etc). The pool is fantastic, roof decks have great views, and the neighborhood and location are wonderful. I do highly recommend renting a golf cart, as it makes getting around town very simple! Two thumbs up!!!

Amazing

Shell of a Time is, hands-down, the best rental property we have ever stayed at for a beach trip. The house is so comfortable and high end. The pool is amazing, the kitchen made it so we had no need to go out to eat. Loved everything- we will be back. Only downside was construction next door, but hopefully that will be done by next year. Seriously great place. Thanks for the hospitality.

Beautiful property in great location

Stayed here with my parents and my husband and kids for the week. Great setup, loved the outdoor area most. Very clean and lots of dishes to meet our needs. A few blocks to the beach and to some restaurants.

2021 Fam Vacay

We enjoyed our stay at Shell of a Time. We had AC issue upstairs for 3 days. It required a part, but work hard to get us up & going as quick as they could. House & pool were absolutely perfect. Kitchen was well equipped with most anything you need. Short walk to beach access, wasn’t bad walk if weren’t carrying a lot. Would definitely recommend for large family.

Great Stay in Santa Rosa Beach

A great place for a mult-generational or large family to stay. We had our two kids and their kids as well. The upper living room creates opportunities to separate when needed and the big living roon on the main floor let us all get together when we wanted that! A couple of minor complaints...the ceiling fan remotes for the master bedroom, pool porch and main living room couldn't be found. There were a couple of burned out light bulbs and the property manager never got back to me about whether the property has any BluRay/DVD players (it does not).

What a Fantastic House!

We absolutely loved our week at Shell of a Time! The house was extremely clean and the layout was perfect for our family's needs. The kitchen was well-stocked and pristine. There were plenty of pool toys and beach chairs. The four adult bikes were fun to ride and we were within easy walking distance to the bike rental shop where we got bikes for the two smaller kids. We loved the covered deck up high as well as the area outside the pool: eating meals, sitting in the tree swings, and of course, swimming in the pool. The WiFi was strong enough to handle four people's virtual school/work with no problem and although we didn't watch, there were televisions in all the bedrooms, plus in two gathering spaces. We were happy to be close enough to restaurants to walk there to pick up our take-out, and our kids absolutely loved being able to get to the creamery in under five minutes. We can't wait to find a time to return to Blue Mountain Beach and Shell of a Time!

Good choice

We stay at 30A a lot and this was our favorite beach ever ... very private and easy to access. Suggestions would be to rent or reserve a golf cart when you reserve house. We never could find a rental where our friends further east had no trouble getting a cart. The only thing we could think of to make this home better would have been a hot tub.

We loved our stay! The house and kitchen exceeded our expectations and needs. Short walk to the beach, spacious house, quiet neighborhood, great spaces to relax outside the house. We are already making plans to return next year!

Perfection in Blue Mountain

You know how you often have to make concessions when renting a beach house? Sometimes the pool area is lacking, or the kitchen is badly appointed, or the bathrooms are outdated... There are no concessions to be made at Shell of a Time! This is a brand new house that has the best of everything. It is thoughtfully designed, beautifully decorated as well as extremely comfortable. It is a 7 minute walk to the less populated blue mountain beach access and walking distance to Red Fish Taco and Blue Mountain Creamery. It comes with 4 bikes, 4 beach chairs and a buggy. The pool is a perfect spot to spend the afternoon. I can’t even think of anything negative to say!

Family vacation

The property was in a great location just a block off the beach- it was clean and I loved it came with bikes. Def a plus. Would certainly consider staying again.

BEST BEACH TRIP EVER!!!!!! Pool was wonderful too!!! Loved the YOLO bikes & the Roof top GULF VIEWS!

Wow!! This house had the perfect beachy coastal interiors-magazine like!!. We walked to get dinner at a few local spots and of course the ice cream at Blue Mountain Creamery was right around the corner. They even have coffee and doughnuts there in the morning. Takes a minute or two to walk or bike to the 4 neighborhood beach accesses down the road. They had great backpack chairs and beach buggy we used and just rented umbrella down there at main beach access. Main access has bathrooms and showers, but hardly matters b/c This house is easy to walk back and forth to from the beach for lunch and bathroom breaks. The YOLO bikes were awesome. And loved the 3rd floor porch up in the trees and especially lived the roof top Gulf views. This house had everthing we needed-our friends and family LOVED the 3 KING bed master suites and of course kids loved the bunk beds. Our teens fit in them too b/c they were XL twin bunks we saw!! The Living space is huge downstairs and wait til you see the adorable beachy Mudroom. Perfect for hanging towels and all the beach gear when we would get home. Kitchen was stocked and beds were ALL so comfortable. Also loved having a separate kids living area/den upstairs. My all time favorite was the relaxing SWING BED on back porch and kids loved the swings in the trees while dad grilled out! Thanks again and can’t wait to come back!!!!!
