"This place is very remote. Dark to get to at night. Check went as promised except our Canadian credit card wouldn’t work in their payment machine. So ended up paying cash. Property is very cute. I heated pool. We passed on breakfast so can’t comment on that. Room was very clean. Safe. Must have a car. 20 minutes drive to Bari. Peaceful and quiet. "

"It is very unique because is a real cave but with all the modern facilities. The host are great Domenica and Walter are extremely helpful and nice. Next to hotel there is an excellent restaurant with the typical food for lunch and dinner and very nice people also “da Nico”. We highly recommend and we will stay again in the future."

"No hot water for a shower this morning! Seriously??? I ran water for 5 minutes...nothing. I waited 30 minutes...still nothing. I had to take a wet towel bath with cold water this morning. The whole seperate bathroom is strange enough but to have no hot water for my shower is absolutely unacceprable! Never again. Ugh!"

"Our stay at L’Antica Conceria was outstanding! Our host Martino went above and beyond assisting us with planning our time in Matera, all while using Google translate as his English was limited. It worked beautifully! He also called and made a reservation for us at a restaurant in Matera, which was so thoughtful. He is such a kind and lovely person, he felt like a friend. The only drawback we found was that we had to take a number of stairs to get to the apartment (a total of 54 steps and no elevator).
