Convento do Espinheiro, Historic Hotel & Spa

"We loved, loved, loved this hotel! It gave us a truly 5-star experience. The hotel is a converted convent and was a historical site in and of itself (it comes with it's own church which is beautiful). The property is very well maintained with pretty grounds (full of fruit trees and flowers) and amenities. We used the gym, indoor pool (there is also an outdoor pool), hot tub and sauna - and enjoyed them thoroughly. Our room was very big with a super-king bed - we had great sleeps each night. Breakfast and dinner were very well done. Breakfast is abundant and with quality food. Dinner the first night was at the Italian restaurant, Olive - and the food was absolutely delicious. The second night we ate at the Portuguese restaurant and it was also very good. The reception and room staff were very pleasant and quick to address any of our needs. We would say that this hotel is definitely an experience that I would recommend!!"

"Ranch près de Evora magnifique avec hôtes attentionnés et disponibles. Endroit pitoresque unique et parfait pour séjour en amoureux et ou en famille si vous voulez une villa avec cuisine. Tout est exquis des salons, piscines X2 l’extérieur avec vue sur vignes et oliviers entourant le Ranch. Chambre très propre et décorée avec soins. Déjeuner à couper le souffle très complet. N’hésitez pas d’acheter du vin car il y en a du bon !!!"

"excellent position in the heart of the old town. 4 poster bed was nice. Roof terrace was lovely. Bathroom was stone walled and impressive but no hot water :-( However we had a great breakfast in the morning. We could park inside the walls - a bonus."
