"We had a 3 night break to relax and enjoy the local area with our dog and this was the perfect place to stay. The location is great - it´s on a quiet local street and is just a walk away from the historic castle and any of the wonderful restaurants and small supermarkets in the town. The property itself is comfortable and cleverly decorated, with a fabulous kitchen, and the outside space is really excellent with beautiful views of the local countryside. "Casa espaçosa, decorada com esmero, bem iluminada e plenamente equipada. Muito confortável no inverno. A lareira funciona bem, assim como os aquecimentos. O único aspecto menos positivo é a irregularidade da pressão da água nos duches, um problema partilhado em toda a aldeia. Comunicação com o proprietário e check-in excelentes. Altamente recomendada."

"Wonderful property, loved the historic parts and the renovations. The rooms in the newer wings are very modern. The gardens and pool area are very relaxing. Restaurants are good quality and the included breakfast buffet is really above and beyond. The staff was very responsive to service requests as well. All in all a great experience!!!"

"The location was spectacularly close to some of the main cultural sites of Évora. All were easily walkable, usually within minutes, and that included restaurants, as well as historical sites. The absolute best thing about the hotel were the staff. Flawlessly professional, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. Restaurant recommendations and reservations were handled with aplomb. I’d never seen a 10.0 rating before. They certainly met that standard for me."

"Beautiful historic hotel . Rooms could do with electric outlets next to the beds and bathrooms could be updated. The service is bit too formal- when we requested a dinner reservation we could not get the time we wanted and when we arrived a half hour after our requested time there were only two tables taken- it was empty. "

"Feels like living in a historic bldg (built in 1500) with frescos and plaster walls and high ceilings. Situated in center old town close to cathedral and Roman ruins. Plenty of shops and restos nearby. Breakfast was fabulous. Rooms were fairly spacious and bidets in bathroom. Have to pay for parking "
