"The entry instructions were clear and easy to follow and appreciated the ability to stay in contact via WhatsApp. We loved apartment no 4 on the 1st floor, very clean and quiet in the evenings which was appreciated for such a central location. We received great service with booking a taxi via WhatsApp to airport and our taxi driver arrived on time, was very friendly and helped with the luggage. It would have been helpful to have a few more details about the property e.g Wi-Fi code and the crockery and cutlery could have been a little more extensive . Nice undercover seating area where we were able to eat our meals and enjoy the lovely weather . The road is very steep !!"

"A fabulous location, and surprisingly quiet for being in the heart of the old town. Apartment 1 is at the top of the building with 2 steep staircases to navigate. But once up there it is airy and bright with everything you could need. No hanging space for clothes but lots of room to store items flat. Accommodating and quick response to messages with host. "Schön hergerichtete Unterkunft mit herrlicher Dachterrasse (den ganzen Tag Sonne) und tollem Ausblick über Funchal bis hinunter in den Hafen. Ein Mietwagen ist empfehlenswert, da es ein ganzes Stück bergauf geht. Parkmöglichkeiten waren i.d.R. vor der Unterkunft gegeben (öffentlich/kein fester Stellplatz). Aufteilung gut (ein großes und ein kleineres Schlafzimmer). Wohnung ist etwas hellhörig. Die Küche befindet sich im Wintergarten der Terrasse. Gute Aufteilung. Würden wir wieder buchen."

"The apartment was just as shown on photographs, spotlessly clean and fresh smelling. It had everything we needed and more for a stress free holiday. Very comfortable (large) bed, adequate crockery and cutlery, superb power shower, even a very decent hairdryer 😊 Perfect location, 5 mins walk into old town and 5 mins in the opposite direction to Funchal main town, couple of roads are steep but not too challenging. Lots of restaurants within easy reach, daily market place and large Pingo Doce...
