Camp Shepard

  • This is a charming house built in 1920 right in Saranac Lake. It gives a campy feeling of being nestled in the woods. There are views of Lake Flower and its boat launch from the wrap around porch or patio. In the heart of the Adirondacks, and just 8 miles from Lake Placid, after hiking, boating, fishing, canoeing, or just exploring come home and relax in this spacious 3 bedroom, 2 bath home with a large kitchen, dining and living room or have a nice family cookout from the bbq.
    Guest access
    With winter season approaching us, and our driveway being a little steep, you'll need all wheel drive to drive to the top of the driveway. Regular 2 wheel drive car can park at the bottom of the driveway.
    It is non smoking property.

Great visit

The house had a nice mix of lots of character combined with new finishes… very clean with plenty of room. The internet and tvs were great. We used the grill and picnic area several times. It was also a good location relative to where my dad lives and Lake Flower. Really enjoyed our at Camp Shepard.

Lake Placid trip

Brought our bass boat, Flower Lake boat ramp w/i 2 blocks (nice). Visited the town of Lake Placid, next day went on lake. Went on Upper Saranac, all lakes w/i 45 minutes. Vrbo house was very nice, had everything we needed, owners we great and checked to make sure we had all we needed. Real nice place.
