"How fortunate we felt having booked L'Estancat during our trip to Pau. A delightful old farmhouse set in a small farming community in the most beautiful countryside with a view of the snowcapped mountains and the sound of songbirds. We were greeted by the proprietor and made welcome from the start and enjoyed a fabulous breakfast having enjoyed a peaceful comfortable nights sleep in our bedroom containing a small but perfectly serviceable bathroom. "This is a beautiful location in a lovely valley in the French Pyrenees, especially if you like hiking and visiting quaint villages. The rooms are really comfortable and the pool is tremendous after a long day on the trails. What really recommends this place is Nadège, the owner - simply, she is fantastic! "Visited for a friends wedding - Wonderful family running the place, very helpful and extremely accommodating nothing was too much trouble. Building was in very good condition and extremely clean. Beds were good but a softer pillow would have been my personal preference but that’s just me :) really would recommend this to anyone who needs to stay in the area.
