"Our experience in Belize was incredible, and X'Tan Ha Resort played a big part in making our trip so memorable. From the moment we arrived, the entire team was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. A special thank you to Mairia, Elias, and Lorenzo for their outstanding support throughout our stay. They assisted us with transportation, tours, and any questions we had. Their responses via WhatsApp were always incredibly fast, making it easy to plan our activities and enjoy our vacation without any stress. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine care made us feel valued as guests and truly helped make our stay perfect. "The property and surrounding area is absolutely beautiful! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only downside is the distance from the town of San Pedro. Ten miles is a lot when the mode of transportation is a golf cart and the road is bumpy and dusty. However, if you’re looking to get away from the town and just have a relaxing trip, there is no place better than Sapphire Beach Resort."

Portofino Beach Resort

"Portofino is a beautiful, quaint little resort. We have stayed in their small cabanas a number of times. They are rustic and simple. The resort grounds include a lovely salt water pool, a dock, a small reception area, a small outdoor bar with a beautiful patio under large sea grape trees as well as a restaurant above the reception area that overlooks the gorgeous sea and barrier reef. Overall, it is simply beautiful and relaxing. The frontline staff are phenomenal, truly great and caring human beings. They really make the stay very special. This July 2026 stay, however, we experienced a few disappointments in comparison to past stays. The restaurant food was not as good overall as we have experienced in the past. Most disappointing in respect to the amenities was the removal of the water taxi as an option for going into San Pedro or to other resorts. We were truly saddened not to have that available given how far Portofino is from the city. The biggest challenge, though, was the lack of available beach front and ocean water. While not a reflection on the resort itself, the large amount of seagassum was disgusting and the smell sickening. Sadly, it extended out past the end of the dock."

North Beach Retreat

"The staff at the hotel are outstanding, super helpful, and Norman in particular is a real all-star. The main issue is something pretty outside their control: the beach outside the hotel is covered with a giant mass of stinking seaweed. This plagues just about all places in the area, but everyone traveling there should be aware that this is an issue. But the staff are awesome. They cook us a lovely breakfast every morning and they show us beaches on other parts of the island. Well done Norman!"

"Let's start with the host. Communication is excellent from the moment I book through the end of the trip. Jerry truly wants to ensure you have an excellent stay.The house is great. The views from the porch are picturesque (fyi, bring bug spray for the early morning and for dusk). The pier is beautiful, providing you with early sunrise pictures. You can sometimes see the dolphins playing a hundred yards or so off the pier. The pool is great. It is cool and refreshing! The house itself has everything you need, but who cares right, who goes to paradise to sit in a house? 2 kayaks and 2 paddleboards are available. You can paddle to the reef and snorkel on your own, but it is a bit of a trek, but definitely worth it! As if it couldn't get better, you get Carlos and Lucita. They both work extremely hard to ensure you don't want for anything. Lucita provides the meals and Carlos takes care of the grounds. They are super friendly and extremely kind! They truly make the experience so much better. If you are a snorkel lover, be sure to book Mexico Rocks with Mr. Hill. We saw barracuda, an assortment of fish, as well as several turtles!This was our second time staying. We love this piece of paradise. Far away from the city to unwind and relax but close enough (45 minute golf cart ride) to visit if you want too. Check out Annie's bakery if you take a trip to town! If you want to unwind and relax in a serene setting, this is the place for you!"
