Bed was comfortable. Needs very thorough cleaning. Bathtub was so dirty I didn’t want to use it.

Cozy apartment, great location!

I enjoyed my stay overall and was able to walk all over downtown. Forsyth park is 2 blocks away. A few little touches around the apartment would make it feel a little homier (e.g. more art on the walls, fresh paint, a bath rug, etc.). It was as clean as you'd expect a historic home to be for the most part, but the cleaning person needs to check closets and such as there was a chunk of old bread on the pantry floor. The wifi info on VRBO is inaccurate, but the router is easily accessible to get the login. The daybed was super comfy, but the mattress in the bedroom was crazy firm and the pillows were like rocks. For the money and the location I would stay again and bring my own pillows, but with a bigger budget I'd upgrade.

Great Location!

Cute, historical place to stay in Savannah! Convenient walking distance to everything. Suggest stocking the bedroom with extra blankets and some clothes hangers, but had everything else we needed. Also, a do little better on the cleaning, we did find a piece of pretzel on the floor as soon as we arrived.

Keep Scrolling

Upon check in we noticed we were given one towel and washcloth for each of us for a four night stay. The towels were old and tattered. There were dust bunnies the size of small cotton balls under the day bed along with someone's random sock. The vines outside were literally growing inside the front window. Mold was recently wiped down on the bathroom walls leaving some behind. No dresser or hangers. No TV in master bedroom as stated. If anyone stays in the unit above the noise is crazy, as if they are playing hopscotch. Wifi is sketchy and tv kept freezing. No Hulu as stated.You are asked to start a load of laundry with the bedding and towels but no laundry detergent is provided. Dollar tree spoons, forks and knives sit on top the microwave so dust can collect on them. Host does not provide complimentary coffee and tea and only has an old hotel type coffee pot. Upon leaving there was a stench of sewage.

Great for a nice place to stay in Savannah

Nice $ and good space. Could use a deep cleaning, but worked well for us and what we needed. John was very open and easy to work with.

Needs Some Love

The location was wonderful and parking was plentiful. The property (inside and out) needs some deep cleaning and a fresh coat of paint. There were overgrown bushes and trash outside, and inside it didn’t look like it had been properly cleaned. The property has a lot of charm, but it needs some love.

A very 'Savannah' place to stay

Very charming and historic lil apartment. It could use a good cleaning and coat of paint along w some minor maintenance like rehanging the bathroom shelving and wd40 for the kitchen ceiling fan but we'd totally stay here again. Solid 4 stars

Awesome location, great deal, needs some love

The property worked well as a home-base for a solo week working remote. You absolutely cannot beat the location, and the price is a GREAT deal. The place was reasonably clean, if a bit dusty, and had plenty of linens. The washer/dryer worked well. The owners could take it from “good” to “great” with minimal investment by replacing worn out pieces like kitchen items & stained throw pillows.

Ok for the price

The directions take you to a different property than what’s listed. It’s not on Forsyth park, but only a few streets back. We walked everywhere. The linens could use updating & we weren’t super impressed with the overall cleanliness but not bad for the price. The day bed has a comfy mattress that we preferred to the queen bed.

Wonderful spot to explore and relax

This ground-floor apartment ticks off all the big-ticket items: authentic, charming, comfortable, spacious, convenient location, affordable, easy access and free parking. With a few small tweaks it would be 5 star. I’d give it 4.5 now, but I can’t. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, requesting and receiving a few missing items with good response. We left our car and walked everywhere in historic Savannah. It was a nice place to come home to and relax.

Great location, good value

Great location, charming home. Seems like it hasn’t been dusted or thoroughly cleaned since it was built over 100 years ago. No microwave which is not convenient for travelers who will likely eat out and have things to reheat. (It’s a $30 appliance) pillowcases had blood on in with no option for a new one- the few linens that were there were poor quality and several burnt out lightbulbs. Disappointed mostly because these are all inexpensive upgrades that would’ve gone a long way.

Fabulous Location in Historic District

Fabulous location for exploring Savannah's historic district. Spacious apartment and very quiet. Didn't need our rental car because we could walk everywhere. Such a charming city - we would love to visit again. Great seafood! The architecture in the historic district and the squares are very charming.

First of many!

My daughter and I had a great time in Savannah. We're already planning to come back next fall! The house was exactly as described in the listing. It's in a great location, so close to the park. It was thoroughly clean and had a very comfy feel. It's an older home so of course, it could use some updates but the price was the best we found and everything worked well. We'll definitely consider staying here again.

Grand old girl needs a facelift

Classic 100+ year old apartment that needs a refresh. Owner was rather officious with rules and regs, especially considering existing condition. Shabbier than pictured; needs paint and updated appliances/bath, front outdoor space is an absolute jungle. But it is spacious, confortable, well located and priced for Savannah.

Overall a great experience.

Great location near Forsyth Park! I do have 2 suggestions for improvement. The entrance lock to the building is tricky to unlock and should be replaced. Also they need to get a microwave. The kitchen was functional but it was a drag to not have a microwave to reheat leftovers.

Weekend in Savannah

Really enjoyed the stay. The apartment is in a great location. We really loved the park, only a few blocks away. Check-in and check-out was easy.

Cute, spacious place right downtown

Wanted a place downtown for me and my friends to surprise my friend for a bridal shower and this was great! Loved that it was on the first floor! Just blocks from everything downtown! Highly recommend and would use again!
