Room was clean but whole floor smelt of cigarette smoke. It’s a shame because the rooms are letting down the hotel as the rest of the hotel is very nice and it could be a top spot to visit. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the grounds were stunning! Food was also great but more on the expensive side. I had the burger on the menu (£18) it did come with chips and was tasty! Good place to stay if you want a short stay but it could do with some TLC

The standout was the very good breakfast. I did not like the pre-check in questionnaire procedure. Our mattresses were sagging and we had to turn them over in order to be able to sleep better.

Nice place & great location. Used for a work trip. Food was good & room was spacious & clean. The only down side was on arrival. I stood waiting for a drink & was acknowledged by 3 members of staff whilst waiting who turned their heads away from me. I waited a good few minutes before asking for assistance. The same thing happened on my next visit to the bar.

Recently stayed at Manor of Groves for our 25th Anniversary, booked a executive room which was dreadful, it was like a prison cell! Then the lift wasn't working, then we got told the Spa wasn't working, I complained at reception and was given a four poster room / suite, it was lovely, however the room and this hotel is very tired, needs a lot of work doing to it to turn it around. The staff had zero personality and pretty miserable apart from one charming lady behind the bar who was lovely. Food was good. Who ever owns this Hotel seems to have fell out of love with it, which is a shame as it's grounds and structure are beautiful.
