"The room was clean and tidy, the bed comfortable and the shower was brilliant. Super quality fluffy towels in the en suite along with hand soaps, shower gel and shampoo made the stay extremely pleasant. The room we had was on the top floor, which must have been a later addition as the lift only goes to the floor below. The choice of breakfast items is good but the hot items were at best luke warm by the time we went into the dining room at 08.30. I would suggest getting breakfast early while it is still hot. There is a small bar at the property and although the lagers and beers are not on draught there is a good choice and the prices are not too bad, a lovely spot to finish the night before bed. One very welcome and surprising detail is the free car park belonging to the hotel. It is first come first served and there are about 10 spaces otherwise a street permit is available at a price. I would definitely stay here again."

"The room was clean, great breakfast, friendly helpful staff. We booked a classic double the decor was a bit tired and it was quite small and the bathroom / shower was partially small which we slightly struggled with."

"A surprisingly nice hotel! We booked for a concert at the open air theatre so went foR a near to hotel. It couldn’t be any nearer , an easy 5min walk! We loved that we could reserve a parking space in advance as two girls travelling we wanted to make sure the car was parked and we didn’t have to walk about too much in the evening, it cost £8 but well worth it to not have the hassle as not knowing the area. All the staff were really lovely and the place was lovely and clean, It was a little beige in its decor but had large well appointed rooms as it’s a period building and a fabulous sea view! The next day we had a little wonder to the beach before we left (it’s right on the north bay beach ) Will definitely come and stay again thank you!"

"Our stay at Grand Hotel Scarborough was really good on the whole. Staff were friendly and explained everything well. The communal lounge areas were absolutely gorgeous. The room had everything we needed in it but my only niggle about the room was we had a jacuzzi bath but it didn't work and outside the window had rubbish in it. Apart from that I had a lovely stay and would definitely come back and recommend it to others"
