James and Rebecca own and run the small, friendly Cordelia. Situated on South Cliff, the Tramway down to the Spa is just along from the bottom of the street. On street parking is free - we were given the necessary cards and disc on arrival. James welcomed us and, after showing us the ground floor guest lounge, showed us to our room, which was really spacious. The bed was king size, there were two easy chairs, flat screen tv with remote, a tray set up for tea, coffee and biscuits and an en suite with toilet, wash basin with loads of toiletries, a shower cubicle and the largest bath towels I have ever seen! Breakfast was substantial, In addition to the usual fruit juice, cereals, toast and jam, you could order a fruit bowl with fresh, sliced banana, strawberry, grape and melon - very refreshing, smashed avocado with grilled haloumi on toast with a poached egg, a generous slice of smoked salmon and scrambled egg on a toasted bagel or compose your own "full english" Although dinner was not served, you can order a Supper Plate consisting of 5 cheeses or meats with crusty bread and butter, assorted crackers, nuts, apricots, pickled onions, olives and various relished. This is served in your room. James and Rebecca are very welcoming and chatty. Nice touches include thick slices of buttered date and walnut cake as a welcome on arrival, colour coded towel sets -1 set white and 1 coloured so no "is this mine our yours?". Top of our list to return, it is is 10/10 from us
