"While the property was older and had wear and tear, the rooms were clean and comfortable. My only complaint was the very sparse breakfast. There was toast, two types of cereal, hard boiled eggs, bananas, cheap pastries - think walmart brand tiny donuts and muffins- and a waffle maker, plus apple juice, orange juice, and milk. Still, we would stay here again, but if you're looking for somewhere with a good breakfast, keep looking."

"We were on a road trip and looking for somewhere unique to stay that wasn't a cookie-cutter interstate chain hotel. The McCleary Hotel fit the bill. It's a charmingly weird old place with lots of character. The room was comfortable, the shared bathrooms were clean, and the staff was nice. Can't ask for more than that. We spent the evening chillin' by their gas fire pit in the backyard, and appreciated the coffee and pastries in the morning. If you're looking for a luxury hotel with all the high-end amenities, look elsewhere. But if you're looking for a genuinely unique place to stay and enjoy some living history, this is your spot."

"The cabin is as described. A wonderful escape from the city. We went in August and didn't catch any fish but we had a blast trying. We loved sitting on the porch with coffee or beers. The kids played all day in the lake. There were plenty of watercrafts to use and calm waters to chill in. I would book again."
