The property in on the southern side of town and is in easy walking distance of the pubs, Coles and a few other shops. It was great to use as a base. The room was small but comfortable. The shower was tiny but the water pressure and temperature was fantastic after a long day out. The Queen bed was hard but comfy. Plenty of pillow. The room was very dusty and the floor gritty like it hadnt been cleaned for a while. Overall we were very happy and left feeling refreshed and relaxed.

Wanted: upgrade in Scone

From a promising start our stay at this motel went somewhat downhill. While the room and bed were comfortable, there was a dark stain on the bedspread that raised questions about cleanliness. Like many motels of this era, the bathroom was very outdated and we had a problem with getting hot water at the sink. Only after running the shower did we get the hot water to come through to the sink. Ecofriendliness was disappointing - using single soaps, with plastic wrappers, and individual plastic bottles of shampoo, conditioner, etc is not the way things are done these days. Also, separate bins for recyclable material and general trash would have been nice.
