"There isn't a great amount to do in this historical locale, but a short drive puts you in the redwoods or to some dining options. The grocery store across the street makes great fresh sandwiches. The rooms are unique, quiet, and well appointed. There was a very nice sitting area just outside the door of our room. The staff persons were all nice, accommodating, we enjoyed our arrival refreshment. If you want to stay in a peaceful, historic building, this lodge woorks well."

"This is a very simple hotel sharing a parking area with an amazing restaurant and brewery called the eel River brewery. The bed was really comfortable. Everything was super clean. I will totally stay here again."
