"This is the only hotel I have decided to review based on 3 weeks of family trip. Outstanding attention to detail and extremely customer centric staff. Rooms are very well equipped and clean (toothbrush,toothpaste and all). The bed was extremely comfortable. The view was breathtaking, especially at sunset (I myself Italian and I’m used to great views, and this was one of the best). Breakfast was amazing with lots of options. "Adorable property ( wish we could have stayed longer). Situated in gorgeous hills, quiet place. You really need a car or transportation to get here however. Out room was located on level one no elevator so up one flight of stairs. There is a washer and dryer available however they are more for staff use so you may need to wait a bit to use them. "We needed a place to stay in or near Vinci for the night before our 3 week stay in a nearby villa began. Il Piastrino looked lovely and was VERY well priced. And it was exceptionally nice—from the spacious, charming rooms (surprise—we had a kitchen), the delicious breakfast, to the warm and welcoming staff. We arrived very late toward the end of a busy pris fixe am fresco dinner service but we were settled in and set at ease. And yes, we returned a few days later for the al fresco dining. Wow....

"This is a wonderful old place but…you MUST have a car! We did not have one but it’s very inconvenient and expensive to get one to come up to this area. Also - there is no dinner service on Sunday evenings - which was the day we stayed here. The staff was SO amazing and do make us a charcuterie plate - and they were wonderful. The rooms are sparse but very clean. "
