About this property
Historic A-Frame Panoramic Red Rock Views!
A Historic A-Frame Retreat in the Heart of Uptown Sedona
Welcome to Hartman Cabin (Quail Tail) — a one-of-a-kind, recently remodeled A-frame tucked into a quiet cul-de-sac and backing directly to national forest land. This iconic Sedona retreat blends timeless character with modern comfort, all within easy walking distance to Uptown Sedona’s shops, trails, galleries, and restaurants.
Step inside and you’re immediately greeted by a vaulted main living space with a dramatic wall of windows, framing sweeping red rock views and flooding the home with natural light. Outside, the generously sized deck faces the forest and offers a front-row seat to sunrise, sunset, and stargazing—with nothing but nature behind you.
A True Sedona Original — Rich in History & Soul
Affectionately known as the Hartman Cabin, this beloved family retreat has welcomed families, artists, and creatives for over 50 years. Originally built by Dr. and Mrs. Hartman as a Phoenix escape, the home is thoughtfully decorated with authentic Southwestern artifacts and original artwork, preserving its heritage while offering today’s comforts.
The result is a space that feels warm, meaningful, and impossible to replicate—a rare find in Sedona.
Thoughtful Layout for Relaxation & Connection
Open, airy design with vaulted ceilings
Lofted sitting area upstairs (baby gates provided)
Expansive forest-facing deck
Quiet, private setting at the end of a cul-de-sac
Surrounded by national forest on multiple sides
The home is entirely yours during your stay—private, peaceful, and designed for connection with both nature and one another.
Best of Both Worlds: Walk to Town, Escape to Nature
Enjoy the rare combination of walkability and seclusion. Stroll safely via sidewalks off Jordan Road into Uptown Sedona, or step outside your door to feel immersed in red rock country.
