Looking for a luxurious and comfortable vacation getaway that offers spectacular views of Sedona's world-famous Red Rocks?

Our 2-bedroom (with new king-sized bed in the primary bedroom ), 2.5-bath, 2-story (1,280-square-foot) casita at the gated Canyon Mesa Country Club has everything you need for a vacation you'll remember for a lifetime.

Start with an early morning round on the nine-hole, executive golf course, a tennis or pickleball match on one of the two newly resurfaced hard courts or just wander through the meticulously groomed grounds. Cool off with a dip in the refreshing saltwater pool (open May 1 through Oct. 31) or soak in the hot tub/spa (open year-round) before heading out on or returning from one of Sedona's countless hiking trails.

Bell Rock (which contends with Cathedral Rock as the most famous Red Rock formation) and Red Rock Crossing (one of the Southwest's most photographed scenes, with Cathedral Rock reflecting in the Oak Creek)—two of the area's four vaunted vortices—and Courthouse Butte are just around the corner.

Take a break to shop in Uptown Sedona or to lunch in one of the varied eateries in the Village of Oak Creek and-or Sedona, and don't forget to take in a spectacular sunset from the Airport Vortex in West Sedona before heading back to your home-away-from-home for a casual outdoor barbecue or a gourmet home-cooked meal.

Our casita features a deck off the living room for your morning coffee and a terrace off the primary bedroom for a breath of fresh canyon/mesa air and a view of Bell Rock. Both outside spaces have new wicker love seats chairs and tables, plus there are slider chairs on the primary terrace.

There's a fully equipped kitchen with a granite countertop and stainless microwave and dishwasher. The main floor, which has a wood-burning fireplace, has been refinished with upgraded tile flooring and cozy new furniture. The upstairs, with skylights in the bedrooms and bathrooms, has carpeting, and there is a washer-dryer (including detergent) for your use. Our home has Wi-Fi throughout and a new 43 - inch smart TV in the living room.

Updates include flat-screen televisions in the primary and guest suites, antique Arizona quilts (not for use) and a variety of interesting and unique home decorating touches.

Great casita in nice area

We had a great stay at this casita in the Canyon Mesa country club. Great location to hiking in Oak Creek. Owners provided a red rock pass which we used extensively for hiking. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location! Close to Sedona, restaurants, Grand Canyon and numerous hiking trails. Place was very cozy. However, a kettle would have been nice for tea drinkers, soap for the shower, charcoal for the advertised bbq and a new mattress is much needed.

Perfect escape to the Sedona area!

Thanks to Jean and Rich for a perfect place to escape to Sedona. After several years of staying in hotels, we tried VRBO and couldn't be happier. This Casita is exactly as pictured. Very clean, very convenient, and everything we needed in the kitchen. Great location to easily access the beautiful hiking in Sedona. We have already booked for next year!

Beautiful and peaceful setting

Rich and Jean are responsive hosts. The home was perfect for my wife and I. Canyon Mesa, s gated community, was perfect for daily walking. The golf course (par 3) was a beautiful site. I look forward to playing there on our next stay. We used the Jacuzzi and pool every day during our stay, and drove to a different Sedona attraction every day.

The property was very nice. Beautifully kept and nice facilities. The townhouse was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The only downside was the gardeners that decided to trim hedges with very loud equipment very early in the morning (6:30 am on one day). Overall though, it was a really great stay.

Felt at home

This was our first stay at a VRBO listing. At first, we were a little uncomfortable as it was as if we had just showed up at a stranger's home. After a day or so we really felt at home and very relaxed. After the initial contact with the owner to obtain check in info, no other communication was needed. The property was accurately advertised. All in all, a great experience, we will book with VRBO in the future.

Picturesque Peace

The townhouse is located in a very quiet development that is close to some spectacular red rock formations. It is well furnished and comfortable and having the washer/dryer in the unit was much appreciated. We found it to be a very convenient base, outside of the congested traffic and bustle of Sedona, from which to explore the many state and national parks and monuments in the area. There was one small problem when we arrived and the manager met us at the property within minutes. Overall it was a very pleasurable experience and we hope that it is available if we ever return to the area.

I love Oak Creek Village location as my getaway home and this condo was conveniently located.

My overall experience was good. The only thing, there were no toiletries. All 3 bathrooms had a few sheets of toilet paper on the existing roll and there was ONE new roll of paper to go between 3 bathrooms. This is a small thing and I would return in the future. But if I were the owner, I'd want to know.

Relaxing Getaway! June 27 - July 1 2016

We three girls enjoyed our stay in Rick and Jean's home. We appreciated Pat coming to meet us and give us a few pointers. Accessing the wi fi was a challenge but Pat helped us find code. Home was clean and well stocked. There is a drive to get to Sedona but the views make it worth the short drive back and forth (about 10 miles) The skylights woke us with daylight but we adjusted. The grill requires charcoal so we didn't get to use it. Plan for this if you wish to grill food. The area is so clean and quiet! We felt very safe and secure! Nice place to stay and good value. Use the 2nd gate to get in! The first doesn't have keypad. A kind gentleman helped us to get it! LOL! Thanks for sharing!

Home away from home

I know the title sounds like a cliche but it really did feel like home. The home had everything we needed. It was nicely decorated, clean and the location was ideal. I always love staying at this complex. We are surrounded by grass, trees and a well kept complex with a mix of detached and townhomes. We also enjoy the drive into West Sedona and Uptown. Sedona each day as the landscape breath taking. We didn’t watch tv much but a larger tv in the living room would be ideal. We were hoping for a large crockpot so a roast could be cooking while we were out hiking; however the crockpot was too small. We were given the wrong code to get into the hime but the property manager responded immediately and provided us with a password over the phone and issue quickly resolved. There was a free red rock parking pass which was convenient and saved us a bit of money.!I highly recommend this home. The beds were comfy and had the home had everything we needed; most importantly, it felt like home, and not a hotel room.

Sedona Get Away

Property is within a gated golf community with amenities that included a swimming pool, tennis and pickle ball courts. Beautiful surroundings. Our main complaint was the place had obvious been vacant for a while and was not checked by anyone prior to our arrival. Dead bugs in both bathrooms and the outside patios were completely covered with spider webs and dead vermin on the decks and on the outside furniture. We also had 2 packrats living under the lower back deck. We notified the property maintenance supervisor and he immediately brought over traps and within 2 days caught both rats and removed. We did not see anymore after that. The main reason we cannot recommend the property is the beds need the mattresses replaced. We paid for a months stay and left 10 days early because we could not stay another day in those beds. We tried everything to be comfortable. It was not possible. With new mattresses and better attention to cleaning, especially the outside patios, we could recommend staying.

Not what we expected

I read all the reviews and unfortunately we don't agree with them. Everyone noted how clean the place was. We did not find it very clean. The master bathroom tub was dirty and I had to clean it before using it. After staying the first night I walked barefoot into the kitchen and soon noticed my soles of my feet were Black. We called and were told that someone had repaired the shower doors and he probably dirtied up the floor. Someone came and mopped the floor while we went hiking. The floors were cleaner but still not that clean-I could still see dirt on my feet when walking around without shoes. Upstairs in the master bedroom 2 of the slots of the blinds were missing and I could see into my neighbors condos so I assume they could also see us if we were in certain areas.
