Highly recommend staying at this beautiful semi-rural spot. Digby and Bailey (dogs) made our trip super homely - and the hosts are very generous with details like gum boots for exploring, books, and breakfast food.

Loved our stay. Max and Steve super friendly and helpful , wonderful fruit and really good coffee for breakfast. Loved meeting Digby and Bailey too, with added bonus of a garden and paddock wander, new chicks and bonkers Doug.

We stopped here for one night after flying from New York to Christchurch. Peaceful and restful small-farm setting helped greatly with jet lag. The cottage was lovely and squeaky clean. Our hostess Max was friendly and cordial.

We enjoyed a very relaxing stay in the lovely appartment. Max and Steve are super hosts! They are very respectful of the guests' privacy, open to questions and happy to share a chat with a good sense of humor. The garden is lovely to walk in or to sit and watch the animals and the surroundings. The dogs, Bailey and Digby, are great friends, well behaved, obedient and sociable. We were guests for three nights and would have liked to stay for a month.

A very nice cottage, very friendly hosts and a great place to stay with your dog. Cottage is very well equipped, warm and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was provided with home prepared fruit, cereals and spreads for toast. Would definitely come again.

Being an animal lover the pets were a wonderful addition to this property. Owner and pets could not have been more welcoming. The cottage is very well appointed with everything you might want and more. A very short drive from Christchurch but it feels like you've gone miles into the country - getting away from everything almost on your back door if you're a Christchurch person, and a wonderful break from the city if you're a visitor to Christchurch

We were in the house moving trip back to Christchurch and found this lovely accommodation that welcome not only my husband and I, but also our fur baby.
We considered our stay as little treat as the property is located in quiet farming area. Overall, this property was fulfilling our needs all aspects: comfortable bedding, complete supply from fresh milk, yogurt for breakfast and we loved the chic-modern cottage setup. Max and Steve were good host. I personally enjoyed their playful dogs as well: Digby and Bailey.
Highly recommended option for those who prefer quiet ambiance with plenty of space to wander around.
Struggling with the internet and TV access, but overall we really enjoyed our stay.
Thanks Max and Steve for your hospitality.
