"This is a great cottage, that is very clean and well kept. The communication with the host was wonderful, and we had everything we needed while we were there, and it was a very comfortable and pleasant stay, with a beautiful view of the lake. My one word of caution for people, is that the waterfront is not very good, and had quite a bit of sludge in it, and also had a very strong odor to it. It was actually bad enough on our first two days, that we couldn't sit outside due to the odor. This is not the fault of the owner at all. The third day we were there, there was a nice breeze blowing in off the lake, which helped considerably with the smell. I'm not sure if the sludge at the waterfront gets better later in the season, but did want to include this so people aren't disappointed if they were hoping for a nice clean waterfront. "

"We loved our stay at Casa Escondida. The place is great, it has all the appliances and it's well equipped. The bed, as mentioned in other reviews is a bit small if you're a tall person, but it is accurate to what the listing says.To make it better, I would just suggest some curtains in the bedroom, so it's not super bright in the morning, but that was not detrimental to us. We used the Jacuzzi, the barbecue grill, the oven, and everything was clean and fully functional. The location is great. The neighborhood is very quiet, but you can easily walk to more busy areas, if that's you like. It's also very close to parks, trails and different beaches. We hit Turkey Point beach and also Long Point (our personal favourite). Check-in/check-out was the easiest I've experienced.We recommend and will be coming back!"
