Ryokans in Senboku District

"Family that runs this is so thoughtful and provided a great stay."

"Thank you for having a shuttle bus since the hotel is pretty much up a mountain. Dinner & breakfast was awesome."

"Stale old place that doesn’t live up. Breakfast consisted of persimmon-hushing from a store tossed at the table the night before. Cold water and a tiny toilet only. The onsen „experience“ was a 20 min drive away, how relaxing is that. Needless to say, I did not stay at this dump. I booked a hotel close by for the same price, it was excellent and delivered an amazing breakfast too, besides having an in-House onsen"

"This traditional Japanese Inn is thoroughly modern with excellent facilities, rooms, Michelin quality food, and helpful staff. We want to call out ‘Mikki’ who was super kind and helped us with any language barriers we had. The entire restaurant staff was amazing and we are grateful to meet the chef. The onsens were also wonderful. A room here with breakfast and dinner included is an excellent value."

"We stayed in tatami rooms with private bath. It comes with a very nice view as you sit outside in the bath overlooking the mountain side. the food is wonderful, if you truly appreciate Japanese food (I've read other reviews saying the food was bland but that usually comes from a non-foodie that doesn't get quality food). It is kaiseki food for dinner and breakfast but if you stay longer, they will offer shabu shabu or sukiyaki. We stayed a couple nights so we did sukiyaki the second night....

"サービスもスタッフさんも素晴らしかったです。信貴山下駅から歩きましたが、かなりの斜面と距離で、結構時間がかかりました。王子駅からバスがあるようですのでそちらからのほうがいいかもしれません。"

"朝ごはんが炊き立てのご飯で美味しく頂きました。"

"Friendly ryokan style hotel with onsen and hot-stone sauna. Our room had a nice outdoor shower and private onsen. The restaurant served amazing food. It’s a popular family onsen, so expect it to be lively, especially during weekends. Absolutely recommended. "
