This location is great if you’re visiting Hongdae and Yoenamdong. Considering the price, I can’t really complain about the place. But the bedding and towels are not what you would expect, so you might want to bring your own. The single room I stayed in was really small, with no space to put your luggage. I had to put it under the bed. There was also no shower booth.

It is my 2nd time staying with DW Hongdae. Short walk from Hongik Univ station Exit 3. Self Check-In/Out is a breeze, luggage lift is awesome! Definitely will choose to stay here when I am in seoul next time.

Nice stay, well located and easy to get around. It was quite noisy, especially at night (drains, other rooms etc). Bathroom is a wet room, not a shower but this wasn’t the end of the world. For the price, worth it! Lots of coffee shops / restaurants etc nearby.

Second time using it. Very good location, just around 10-min walk from the main commercial area. Spacious with two beds. Floor heating makes the room very warm. Very clean. Kitchen and dining area for simple cooking or food intake.

The location is very closed to Hongik University Station Exit 4. The area is very quiet but I cut my visit short as I was looking for a more brighter room and more space. I needed something that made me feel more comfortable. It’s convenient for solo travellers that are on a budget.

Easy check-in; could get in the room after one call as the reception was empty. The lady sent me the room number and the password right after checking my reservation. The room was spacious and very cleanly arranged. There was some cold air from the wall side, but the heater and floor heating kept the room very warm.

The stay itself was nice, in fact it might be my favorite one out of ones I’ve stayed in Seoul so far. For one person, it’s really not a bad deal and the bed was nice. My only minor issues were the claims of sound proof when it was not and the (hot and humid) 10 minute walk to public transit (I’m lazy). They weren’t deal breakers or anything major but definitely things to look out for if these are things you want differently. Honestly, for the price, I enjoyed my overall stay and would definitely book here again given the chance.

I think this hotel would be okay for short stays, but I wasn't thrilled with it for my 2.5 week trip. The area is magnificent and the staff were all kind and helpful, but I had some minor issues with many aspects of the property itself. The room was quite small and not adequately ventilated, so it became overwhelmingly hot and humid while you were away (and the bathroom never dries fully). The expedia listing mentioned a washer/dryer which was the main reason I booked here, but those were not available for customer use. You can ask the room to be "made up" any day you want, but I quickly discovered they did not clean the rooms or even replace the bedding. Only towels were refreshed and sheets were put back properly on the bed... but not cleaned. Due to the humidity of the room and my longer stay, this was really unfortunate. Finally, these rooms are absolutely NOT soundproof... although it was mostly quiet and not an issue, there were several times I woke up to a dog barking in another room or someone throwing up. Unfortunately, that second one happened multiple days in a row, but I guess Hongdae is an all night party area, so it is what it is. Overall, I don't think I'd book here again unless it was a short stay (maybe 2 or 3 days at most). For a similar price, you can find much higher quality places around Seoul.

Very clean rooms, with open kitchen and tables in common area. It was nice having our own bathroom, and room cleaned when needed. The walls are a bit thin, so you can hear all the activities in the hallway, but a fan can easily be used to drown it out.

The room was very clean! Just enough room for the bed, so a good option if you don't want to spend much time in the room. The wifi did not work for me except in the common room. The shared amenities were a nice touch.

The entrance door keeps open. >...< Poor sound insulation... even they said it is a soundproof room. I could clearly hearing what the next rooms talked about. And I was kept woken up by the same floor guestroom when they in or out. I couldn't slept well during the traveling. But the site is easy to reach Yeonnam-dong & Hongdae

Close to Hongdae&Yeonnamdong but fair cleanness

Very convenient to get to Hongdae main street and shopping areas within 10min walk so that you can put down the bags to hotel after shopping. Also close to subway station which is considered convenient as you can go to many places in Seoul by subway. However, the room is not clean. There are obvious dusk, stains on bedsheets and small insects keep flying in the room. The water outflow of WC and bathroom sink is also a bit too small or stuck that the water flows so slowly. The neighbourhood is quiet and comfy but fair acoustic in the hotel that you can hear the adjacent room when they speak loudly. The host is not hospitable. Generally, the location is good but not recommend.
