The hotel was good but the staff were excellent, the male receptionist Jah was very friendly and helpful way beyond what I expected. The room had a couple of issues, the basin sink would not hold water and there were no usb sockets on the walls just older sockets. The area is lively but not annoying, the subway was very handy.

My room was clean and well appointed, with a fair amount of space and plenty of easy-to-use amenities. Breakfast was basic but filling and the staff were very kind and helpful, assisting me with every query I had (Juan in particular was fantastic). The location is also very convenient for accessing the metro, and only about twenty minutes' walk from the major shopping and restaurant district of Myengdong.

The Hotel May is in a great location: less than a block from the subway, close to MANY restaurants, convenience stores, etc. It’s stylish and comfortable. Includes a decent breakfast and the price is right! It is located on an alley and there’s no good views and little light but that’s not so bad considering all the positives.

The room was clean and tidy, bed was so comfortable. Toilet and shower room were separated. The hotel was close to subway station (2 to 3mins walking distance- Jongno 3 Sam Ga Station). Nearby restaurants, convenience stores and other stores. Breakfast were usually (eggs, sausage, bread, cereals, instant noodles, a little fruit, lettuce, soup, coffee and juice). I recommend this hotel and stay there again next time we visit the area.

Nice hotel, clean and comfortable room. Our room even had a hair straightener which was great as my overseas one didn't work. Location is great near lots of restaurants and metro station is only 2 mins away.

The location is 3 minute walk to the very busy pocha area on jongno 3 where tons of locals come to eat and drink street side after work. There are many K BBQ options for restaurants and the area is well known for their pork BBQ. Very delicious!! It is also 4 mi ite walk to the Ikseongdong hanok village area full of shops and restaurants. Highly recommend Favorite Ikseon for their Rose pork belly pasta.....amazing!! The hotel itself offers a simple free breakfast in the basement every morning which is great for being free. The walls and doors are paper thin. Bring earplugs even if you are not a light sleeper. You hear whispering in the hallways. Trust me. If you want room service you have to tell the front desk or no one will step foot in your room during your stay. The ladies are very nice. My room (202) windows faced the side of the building next door and during a shower the toilet will automatically flush 4-5 times releasing scaling hot as hell water so move out of the way when you hear the toilet and wait until the pressure comes back. It is a 3 mi item walk to the many subway entrances for line 2, 3 and 5. Very convenient. Not "touristy" at all so if you're looking for that, stay in myeongdong or hongdae areas.
