"For a 3-star hotel, this was an incredibly lovely place to stay. It is quaint hotel with a lovely garden and a gorgeous dining room looking out at the garden. The bed was quite stiff (not like firm which is desirable) and strangely short. My husband's feet had to dangle beyond the bed. It is quite difficult to find and there is no sign outside. "

"Property was extremely quiet and everyone very friendly. Breakfast is very basic but good. There is an restaurant on site with amazing food (not part of the hotel). We were about 10-15 min from Peniche beaches and Fort. Woke up with birds singing, worth the stay. We were here for 2 nights only. "

"The hotel is charming and offers a very "home away from home" feel but all the staff are the real stars. Each and everyone are just naturally good natured and accommodating. Lydia always greeted me with a smile and made sure I had everything I needed. The bar and restaurant are not only convenient but also a very beautiful spot to enjoy your most wonderful, top notch meals!"

"Loved the experience here, hotel is inside of the castle walls so the location couldn't be better! Just keep in mind you'll have to park outside the city walls and walk there with your luggage, so it's not for everyone."
