"Giovanni was looking for us as we approached the B&B. He speaks some English and we speak some Italian, it was enjoyable. There are 3 rooms here.
It is an old building and is well located.
Not modern, but comfortable with a beautiful view from the balcony. Perfect place for us to stay within easy walking distance to the center. We were able to park quite close. All in all very good place to stay!"

"The outside of the property is a bit deceiving, it looks a little plain, but the inside is beautiful, clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a typical Italian breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this location for anyone travelling in the area."

"I have stayed in many bed and breakfast hotels across Europe and Italy. This is by far the best I have ever stayed. The location is not super fantastic. It’s next to a main road but we can’t hear anything in the room. The room is simple but super super clean and well maintained. Comes with very clean toilet and shower. Mini fridge. Our window looks out to groves of olive tree. Highly recommended!"

"Great stay in the heart of Pizzo Calabro!
Everything was great — the location is perfect, right in the center of Pizzo Calabro with lots of dining options just steps away. The room was clean and comfortable. The only thing I’d suggest is adding a dehumidifier or better ventilation, as the humidity was noticeable at times. Overall, a lovely experience!"

"Beautiful resort in the hills of Pizzo. Reception staff with excellent customer service. Arrived in the evening and woke up to a nice breakfast and walk on the beautiful gardens, panoramic views and premises"
"Our stay at the Piccolo Grand Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled in the charming old town of Pizzo, this boutique hotel perfectly blends modern comfort with authentic Italian character.
From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. They were warm, helpful, and always ready with great local recommendations — whether it was where to find the best tartufo gelato (hint: it’s nearby!) or the most scenic spots to watch the sunset.
The room was stylish, spotless, and thoughtfully designed with high-end touches — especially the rain shower and incredibly comfortable bed. We had a beautiful balcony with a small view of the sea.
Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was a daily highlight. Fresh fruit, pastries, eggs and cappuccinos with a view of the Calabrian coast — it’s the kind of morning that makes you want to stay forever.
The location is perfect for exploring. Just a few steps from the main piazza, restaurants, cafes, and the historic castle, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private.
If you’re visiting southern Italy and want a boutique hotel that offers style, service, and soul — Piccolo Grand Hotel is the place. We can’t wait to return!"
"Long-ish wait to check-in due to no one being at the front desk. Rooms are fine. Lots of noise outside at night with teenagers screaming until 1 a.m."
"We had such a wonderful stay at Luisa & Riccardo’s villa. It’s incredibly spacious, with so many inviting areas to relax and spend time together as a group. The kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped – we cooked dinner every night for a group of six and had absolutely everything we needed, from utensils and cutlery to not just one but two large fridges, which made storing food and drinks so easy. The villa also offers two convenient parking spaces, which is perfect if you’re traveling with more than one car. We especially appreciated the sense of space – we were three couples, and it never felt crowded. Everyone had their own room to unwind, yet we could also come together comfortably in the shared spaces. And the views are simply breathtaking – the sunsets were incredible and became a highlight of our stay. Sitting outside and watching the sky change colors was the perfect way to end each day.Thank you again both!! "
"Suite rooms ran down to unbearable condition. Bedding and furniture are old and damaged. Electric appliances outdated and damaged. Ceramic tiles very old and cracked. Bedding sheets were not cleaned and had spots on them."
"The air conditioner broke a couple of days into our stay. I told the owner and he insisted it was because I didn’t know how to use it instead of calling someone in to fix the problem. When I told him we needed to change rooms he said that if my room wasn’t working, the entire hotel had no ac either…
He finally called a technician and found that the unit was indeed in need of repair. Otherwise, great location and easy parking…just not great with customer service."
