Bear Down Bound

If you’re not keen on twisty, steep mountain roads but still want the cabin-in-the-woods experience, you’ve found it here at Bear Down Bound. In trucker-speak, down bound means you’re headed south. Welcome to the charm and southern hospitality of the Smokies!

This 1 bedroom, 950 square foot cabin that sleeps 4 guests is only a few minutes from the Parkway and all the outlet shopping, shows and fun in Sevierville and Pigeon Forge. The location is easy to get to: just turn off the parkway and head west. In less than 2 miles, you’re at the cabin! No steep winding roads and plenty of easy parking.

Perfect for a romantic getaway or taking the kids to the Smokies for their first adventure, Bear Down Bound is the little cabin that lives BIG! Everyone can have fun—from waking up to morning coffee on the quiet deck to making s’mores at the campfire after a full day of exploring. The loft has a queen bed plus two recliners, Smart TV and video game table. A great space for kids to play or adults to stretch out and watch a favorite show. There’s a nice big ceiling fan, too, to keep you comfortable and the air moving.

On the main floor, there’s a king bedroom with a jetted tub, 55” Smart TV, and another ceiling fan. The bathroom with a shower is right around the corner.

The living area is anchored by a huge gas fireplace (turned on from mid October to mid April). The living and dining furniture is all new for fall 2024. Solid wood tables, comfy pillows and throw blankets invite you to relax and enjoy your favorite shows. Or just have snacks and a drink by the fire. It’s all about taking time for yourself and those you love.

Cabin was very clean and in a good remote area. Beautiful place if you just want a getaway weekend Hot tub was great. Jet tub had some junk in the lines and the running water had a bad smell to it, but those are my only complaints. Beds were comfortable and the cabin was very well decorated.

Family Vacation

We traveled 13 hours and weren’t disappointed. Right at the edge of town, just far away enough from the busy strip to be quiet. Beautiful cabin inside and out. We would stay again if we ever come back.

My family of 4 had a wonderful stay. The owners were even nice enough to accommodate an early check in due to our travel plans. Their communication was excellent. The cabin was just like the pictures too! Would book again!

The location of this cabin makes it easy to access all of the local attractions, restaurants, and shopping. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The hot tub was great! We would definitely stay here again.

Christmastime at Bear Down Bound

We enjoyed staying at this beautiful cabin. It was cozy and decorated nicely for Christmas. Great location, close to shopping area and still private and quiet enough to enjoy spending time on the deck.

Cabin is in an awesome place. Be careful where you park. One of the trees releases sap. The cabin was not as clean as I had hoped. There were toothpaste splashes on the wall in the bathroom, hair on the floor mats, and the cabin itself has a very odd smell. The bathtub has a knob missing and just looks old. The lower floor bedroom does not lock. The beds are super comfy and the bedding and linens were clean and smelled amazing! There are no closets and no washer/dryer unless they are in the basement. We didn’t look in the basement. The property manager is very responsive, which we appreciate! I have stayed in many cabins in the area and this one ranks somewhere in the middle.

Great house

Everything with the house was great the neighborhood is not as remote as I'd hoped there are houses very close and we had some neighbors that were very loud we tried asking them to keep it down but they blasted their music and carried on until we had to report them. But with that being said that was the only issue the house was as described and very nice and Jen was very nice a helpful. As long as the neighbors are decent people unlike ours I highly recommend staying here
