"I only dropped by for a night on my way somewhere else, but it was quite an interesting place. Very beautiful view of the lake! Staff were also vey busy but helpful and nice. Building looks, feels, and smells antique, but that is charming in its own way I suppose. Also, bit an odd trivia, but if you're into obscure vintage Japanese movies, apparently they filmed a 1962 comedy-drama film titled "Curry Rice" there. There's a signed certificate from Fuji Television Network in the lobby floor hallway."

"It was a great stay overall! Cayde was a great host, took time to go over the property via phone call and answered any questions we had. Suggestion, based off our other property stays for long term is maybe have two bins outside that are animal proof for guests to put garbage and bottles. We intended to take our garbage to the dump but ran out of time.Thank you!!!"

"When we first arrived we were greeted by one of the owners family members. She was very friendly and gave us information on the area and things to do. I love the small town hospitality! The cabin had all that we needed for a relaxing few days. The only issue we had were the beds. The queen was a very firm mattress and not the most comfortable to sleep on. The 2 doubles in loft were also not comfortable as one was too firm and the other you could feel the bars underneath. That is the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. We road our bikes one of the days from the cabin to Stake Lake. That was a really nice trail around the lake. We did about 15 km but the trails were endless. I highly recommend you check it out. We had family staying the provincial campground so it was close enough to ride our bikes or load up the car and head to the beach. We enjoyed the beach every day even though it was a bit smoky but we had fun floating around. We used the indoor pool on our last night and enjoyed having a family water volleyball game . A perfect way to end our stay!"

"The cabin exceeded our expectations. It was so cozy and well appointed. The view is lovely and we had such a beautiful cross country ski on the frozen lake- a true winter experience! My only suggestion would be to include bath soap, shampoo and conditioner in the shower. "
