Attended a wedding they ran out of food, i had a rice sandwich. The sofas in the bar area where dirty the walls in the room had marks on them too (007).

Nice quiet hotel based on old building but tastefully extended. Only issue was recurring issue with room keys being wiped. Otherwise everything was perfect for a quiet stay. Breakfast was generally good. Dinner quite limited and expensive.

Another good week here.

Another week here while working locally.. The room this week was really nice, no complaints whatsoever. Staff are lovely and a really good breakfast. I shall be back next week :)

A restful overnight stay

A comfortable overnight stay in a wonderful building. Very friendly staff who sorted the missing towels.really efficiently with lots of apologies. Slightly tired decor but a large room with great shower. Breakfast was extesnisve and delicious. Overall a great stsy.

Nice quiet location. The bedroom walls are a bit thin. Like any old building expect a bit of wear and delapitation as part of your stay. The staff were all lovely and attentive couldn't fault them.

Good weekend in Sheffield.

We wasn't too keen on first sight. However, the staff were so good and efficient that we really enjoyed our stay.

Disappointed stay in Sheffield

Nice building in beautiful grounds , so perfect for weddings. However the standard rooms are very tired, worn and dirty. Horrible bathroom with poor flushing toilet. Hotel states for environmental reasons theres no housekeeping, to call for towels etc.!! So no wonder the rooms/corridors look so shabby/dirty. Opt for deluxe rooms in the main building which look better, but these are on upper floors and there's no lift.

Was told the kitchen was being refurbished as a result. Breakfast menu was canceller and it was self service of lukewarm food from tureen. So not impressed for the price. Room was reasonable but the shower head was mouldy as around shower screen. Also around the window pains
