"Very disappointing experience. The room was uninhabitable due to a strong, persistent foul odor. Service was extremely poor, with staff unresponsive and unwilling to resolve issues in real time. The breakfast was far below expected standards, and the situation was made worse by continuous loud music from a nightclub, making it impossible to sleep. Despite booking a non-smoking room, the entire floor smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. The hotel is also not suitable for families, as there are no proper facilities for children. Overall, this property fails to meet even basic hospitality standards and does not reflect what was promised at booking. I would not recommend staying here."

"The best boutique hotel in Dubai! Highly recommend if you are looking for the real old Dubai experience! Perfect immersive atmosphere, quiet and peaceful. Flowers, birds and perfumed air right next to the water. Very friendly and attentive staff in all of the areas, from reception to the restaurant! I'd love to mention of all them but I lost the list of names I could say that the service was as close as the one I got at St. Regis!!! Great breakfast options with a very extensive menu, a lot of nice local dishes, the breakfast coffee is prepared by a barista and all the food is Top quality. I would definitely go back. I booked a terrace room in an high floor, with my own little outdoor space and a fantastic sunset view over the traditional roofs on one side and the water view on the other. Please make sure you stay at least a couple of nights and flavor the full Emirati experience! "

"I stayed at this hotel with my 53-year-old mother, and it was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. From the beginning, the staff was indifferent and unhelpful. Requests were ignored, responses were delayed, and basic hospitality was clearly not a priority. But what happened on our last night crossed from “bad service” into genuinely dangerous. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. Twice. No announcement, no explanation, no staff guidance. Absolute silence from the hotel. To make it worse, when we tried to leave the building, we realized the fire exit was locked. Let that sink in. We were terrified. My mother has high blood pressure, and both of us ended up having panic attacks. This was not a minor inconvenience; it was a serious safety issue. When we complained and asked for a refund for the last night, the staff did not take us seriously at all. They mocked us. They laughed behind our backs. I tried to call the police but couldn’t reach anyone. I asked the staff to call the police for us. They refused. No help, no concern, no professionalism. Not even an apology. We received no compensation, no comfort, no acknowledgment that what happened was unacceptable. A locked fire exit and staff who treat guests’ fear as a joke is beyond unacceptable. This place is unsafe, and I would never recommend it to anyone, especially families or elderly guests."
