"Very unique design of the outside with very helpful staff. We had a late check-in from booking while on the road. The lady at the front desk called to see when we were expected to arrive. When we arrived, she was really helpful in getting us a room that would be quiet so we could get a good nights sleep. Our room was cozy and clean. Love the ac in the room, we left the fan on for white noise and had a great nights sleep. Pillows were different than any other I’ve had to use at other reservations. I personally wasn’t a fan of them, they became flat really fast. Thankfully, my husband sleeps flat so I got his extra pillow and it helped some. Had a free breakfast in the morning which was a nice touch. The lady at the front desk and chef were both pleasant to provide a friendly and smooth check out. Would definitely stay if in the area again. "

"Clarinda is a halfway point for our trip to our cabin in Missouri. We were looking for an out of the way stop and Clarinda is perfect. The downtown steakhouse was outstanding, and the hotel was a step above the others in town. We will be stopping here again and would highly recommend this hotel and restaurant."
