"Staff was all very nice and the place was spotlessly clean. Our room appeared to have been recently redone. Breakfast was adequate but nothing to write home about. Seemed to be populated mostly by hikers. All and all would stay there again."

"Wonderful house, with porches overlooking the river, adjacent to the Tow Path walking and biking trail, and within walking distance of Harpers Ferry. Kitchen was well stocked, house was very clean, and bedrooms worked well for our 4 couples (with one bedroom to spare). Michael was always very quick to respond to any questions or issues we raised, and he provided useful info about the area and things to do. Driveway would be tight for 4 cars, as Michael had forewarned us (we had just 3 cars), and backing onto the street when leaving was a bit challenging. (We positioned a person at street-side to watch for any oncoming traffic.)"

"I arrived worn out after 11pm. I was chargeg $20 more than quoted and the door lock did not work. The light turned green when it was swiped but did not open the door. When I went to the car to get my things twice, each time the receptionist had to use a key to open it In the morning when I went to eat (a very disgusting breakfast) I was made to wait 15 minutes for someone to open the door. When I returned home I called to complain about the price and additional aggravation of the door I was given a 10% refund. THE PRICE WAS THE SAME AS I HAD BEEN TOLD WHEN I CHECKED IN. APPARENTLY, THEY DIDNT THINK ME SPENDING AN EXTRA HALF HOUR AT THE FRONT DESK WAS WORTH ANYTHING! DO NOT STAY HERE. "

Historic Getaway near C&O Canal, hiking and biking

"Perfect place to stay for a c&o bike trip. Right next to the trail, nice little town with a brewery, restaurants, and coffee shops. Smooth check-in, plenty of space even for 7 people, and a big shed for bike storage. Only issue was not in any way the hosts fault but there was a privately operated CSX train stopped on the tracks in Brunswick blocking trail access for both sides for about an hour on a Saturday morning. Hope the local government can figure out a solution to that!"

"We rented this home for a long Thanksgiving weekend weekend with our son and family. We were able to prepare Thanksgiving dinner and several other meals in the well-equipped kitchen and enjoyed them all at the lovely dining room table. Our grandson is a "rail fan", so the two front porches were the perfect location to watch freight and passenger trains go by several times a day. The drum set in the living room was an unexpected treat. We also enjoyed excursions to nearby Harpers Ferry."
