Landlord and staff were really friendly, professional and helpful. We are looking to move to Dorset and the Landlord was excellent giving us some useful tips sharing his experiences since moving to Dorset himself some years earlier. Evening meal and breakfast were also excellent. We will certainly be going back.
The room was clean and ready for us on arrival. Could do with some modernisation but everything was in good working order and plenty of amenities for drink making and biscuits provided in room. The pub itself was very cozy and did excellent food. The staff were really attentive and friendly too. Orders for breakfast were taken in the evening and everything was prepared fresh in the morning with hardly any waiting. Great service and would definitely recommend.
Check in was great, we got there earlier than expected. As we had to be off early in the morning, we couldn't stay for breakfast, so the manager provided us with a hearty take away lunch, lovely thick ham butties. Kept me going all day.
Nice pub, a couple of decent real ales on, we didn't eat there but the food looked, and smelled nice, and we heard a couple of the customers commenting nicely about it.
Fantastic stop over. Very interesting 18th century old coaching inn converted to Pub/Hotel. Nice outside area to have a few beers and bite to eat. Kitchen was closed when we arrived but our excellent host asked the chef to made us some toasted cheese sandwiches and fries, which we ate listening to some great nostalgic music blasting away from the outside speakers. Definitely have the the pork sausages in the morning. Locally made. Best I've every had!
Very friendly staff, lovely evening meals and just about anything you like for breakfast. Smallish rooms but perfectly adequate . Would happily go there again.
The hotel/bar is set in a stunning location away from the hussle and bussle of other towns close by.
Great food with great service.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
I stayed here as a solo traveler for work - the room was clean and had everything i needed. I was even given an extra heater as it had turned cold but i didnt need to use it, the room was warm enough. All staff were lovely and very welcoming. The bar serves lovely food and pricing is reasonable. Would stay again next time Im in the area.
Beautiful clean room, friendly staff, and good food.
I told them that I am gluten intolerant, when I booked my stay and there was no problem with providing me with food that I could safely eat.
Very good breakfast, cereal, fruit, toast and a delicious full English with good quality ingredients.
