Swan on a nest The water shown on the map is now more of a pond where the swan is nesting and it got rather upset when I started to see if I could get to the pillbox by walking to the left. I found the way by going right and leaving the swan to its nest.

Boathouse by the Bridge The boathouse is probably Victorian and for many years was used as a boathouse. It was bought by someone and made into a dwelling and the boat mooring filled in. I see now that has been dug out again so boats can be moored. The big problem with living here is that it floods and the only way to get to it is by rowing a boat. I could not tell you what the barges are for in the foreground.
