It is so calm and relaxing. Shimoda is a short bus or taxi ride away or a 30 minute work. There is only one restaurant within easy walking distance and it is excellent. Suggest upgrading to a room with a private outdoor bathroom. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay."

No extras but they will accommodate reasonable requests. A few restaurants nearby but limited. Have to go into Shimoda center for variety. ¥2,000 by cab each way. Lots to like in this area though. Surfers get both ends of the beach, nice breaks on both. Not crowded. Rentals available at the pension and many other places nearby. Overall a decent...
