"Do not stay here.!!! Rooms not been cleaned for a long while 1st room covered in dust and bathroom stinking of sewers. 2nd room covered in dust, Dried blood on bed cover and pillow cases, tiles falling off walls in bathroom. Breakfast was dreadfull did not eat beans cold, mushroom srivelled up like rubber bullets. Apparently no manager on site to deal with this still awaiting his call to arange for a full refund. "My stay at the Mercure Hotel in Pembury was okay. My room was on the ground floor and adequate. The bathroom was very clean and cleaned for the three days that I stayed there. The bed was made and the room was clean daily and I have no complaints about it. The room was adequate for my needs.. The only slight grumble I have is that I did not find the staff very friendly. "Th Leicester Inn is a very old listed property and as such has some wonderful aspects giving it great character. Being old and listed also means that modern features like double glazing and air conditioning are not present and we stayed on one of the hottest days of the year. Our room was very hot but a fan was provided and we were able to have an open window. There is a good size car park at the rear of the Inn. Food and service were superb."

"The hotel is lovely but if youre planning on staying through summer, there is no air conditioning and our room was unbearably hot. They did provide a table fan but it didn't do much to cool the room."
