"Room was clean, spacious. Bed was very comfortable. Hotel was quiet in spite of being fully booked with workers in large trucks. I was up and out earlier than the breakfast buffet which begins at 6 AM."

"This was a beautiful property. The beds/linens were so comfortable. As a bonus I didnt know about, there was a split AC unit in main bedroom. I run hot, so it was amazing to have that extra air to sleep. The yard was huge. The views were outstanding. The kitchen contained everything we needed. Marfa is a short drive and Big Bend was our bucket-list day trip. And Balmorhea did not disappoint. I would recommend this home to any family needing to spread out so everyone can have their own space but also needing quality family time."

"We’ve now stayed at Prairie’s Cottage 3 times. It always meets our needs. Right in the heart of Alpine, it provides easy access to everything in Alpine, especially the city park and baseball fields. Mr. Bob is a wonderful host, and the cottage is so cute and quiet. We’ll be back as long as he’ll have us back."
