"Not as advertised. Property and room not well maintained. A lot of water on bathroom floor, musty smell. Difficult to get in touch with manager. Manager did offer a different room, but the smell was even worse. Manager did cancel reservation and offered refund. Went elsewhere for lodging."

"The hotel is in complete disrepair. My room was clean but had holes in the walls, a door lock that barely functioned and would fall off if hit reasonably hard I never had maid service in the 5 days I was there. The woman at the front desk did not speak English and I don’t think she spoke Spanish either. It took the second day to figure out the plumbing was reversed, the hot water was on the right side in the shower instead of the left. I will not be staying there again. Fortunately my time in the Alpine area and Big Bend kept me busy and the time at the hotel was minimal. "

"Amazing stay "

"It was clean and lots of privacy. Nice size yard with nice outdoor furniture and fire ring. The sofa pull out bed has some bent metal bars and wouldn’t stay flat. Barn doors were a bit tricky keep close. Shower needs to be hand held. Lots of thorny sticker burs in yard. We had to work hard to remove them from shoes. The property manager and owner were helpful. When we told them we forgot something at the property, they helped collect the items and let us pick up. "

"Door was not easy to lock with doorknob lock and that was an issue since there was no deadbolt. No person at location for check in. It took a trip across town to get a room key from the desk guy of another hotel. Rustic is the vibe they were shooting for, but I would just call the overall condition old and tired. Expedia would not let me post the picture I took of the chair in the room that looked more like a refugee from a landfill that a piece of hotel furniture."

"Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was dirty, bed had several broken springs, property needs work. Staff was friendly and provided options and solutions. "

"Such a charming spot! There are so many cute details that you can’t see in the listing! I was worried about having the bath area separate from the bus but it was great and didn’t feel like you showering “outside”. Kimberly was so nice and attentive! I wish we would have planned more downtime at night to fully enjoy everything!"
