Shipshewana is a fun place to visit. The shopping, the restaurants ( Blue Gate is my favorite), the quaint atmosphere and we love the Blue Gate Theater. We saw the Amazing Oak Ridge Boys !!

Shipshewana is like our home away from home. We come down from Michigan regularly. We love the shops, the concerts and plays as well as the slower paced Amish way of life.

Loved seeing all the horse and buggies and the food around town was so good and homestyle (Amish) is the best!

It is an Amish community so there are many horse and buggys. Though quaint, I was anxious to be on the road with them. They travel at a fast, confident clip as if people new to the area will know how to navigate around them. It is what it is.

Don't go on a Sunday. There's nothing opened unless you go to surrounding towns or to the lake areas out of town.
