"I booked an Ocean View room at Royal Lahaina Resort, but the room we received only had a partial side-view of the ocean from the right side of the building. In my opinion, this should not be advertised or sold as a true ocean view room. When someone books ocean view, they expect the ocean to be clearly visible from the room, not only from an angle. Unfortunately, the overall experience was very disappointing, especially because we informed the hotel in advance that we were celebrating our honeymoon. The hotel acknowledged our email and said they would do their best to make our stay memorable. However, when we arrived, there was absolutely nothing special in the room, and the view immediately killed the excitement for both me and my wife. It truly felt like the wrong decision to book this property for such an important occasion. The room itself did not feel modern or luxurious. Amenities were very basic, and the coffee machine in the room was filthy, which was unacceptable for a resort that presents itself as a 4-star property. The service also did not meet expectations. Several staff members at the front desk and around the resort came across as rude and unwelcoming. A resort at this level should train staff properly on how to speak to guests with respect and hospitality. Based on my experience, this does not feel like a true 4-star resort. It feels heavily marketed online, but the actual guest experience did not match the expectations created during booking."

"The breakfast buffet was good room was nice and clean the staff was amazing so helpful always ready to greet you with a smile and we loved the activity’s provided on site kids had so much fun feeding the koi getting hula lessons and playing bingo would definitely stay there again!"

"The rooms were clean and the staff were all super nice and sweet. We had a Mountain View which was very beautiful and peaceful. If you want to people watch and have a little more noise get the other views. Ocean views were always beautiful right from the hotel which is directly on the beach. Great snorkeling is just a 5 minute walk on the boardwalk. Equipment can be rented from the hotel or the local suppliers if you need prescription goggles. There are several pools in the property for families and adults only which was nice because we didn’t bring kids but were totally unbolt the children that were there. The hotel has nice restaurants on the property which is a little expensive but very good. Just make sure to have reservations or you will be waiting. The concierge desk was very helpful for planning trips and excursions even those not associated directly with the hotel. So definitely stop by with any questions and ask for activities at the hotel. We took a basket weaving class and exercise classes on the property that were really good. They offer breakfast for an additional price we did not get it since we are not big breakfast people but I am sure it was nice. Because of the recent fires and floods in the area this is one of the best areas on Maui and it did not disappoint "

"Overall, we had a great stay here with a group of 8. The house was spacious, the location was excellent, and we really enjoyed the pool and hot tub area. With a few small fixes, this place could easily be amazing.The main issue was bugs inside the house. There were a ton of gnats throughout the stay, ants in some cabinets, and occasional cockroaches, including in some kitchen pots. A couple of the glass slat windows were missing screens and also couldn’t fully close, which seemed to let bugs in. In several bedrooms, people were also getting bothered by bugs while trying to sleep.There were also a few maintenance/cleanliness things: the dishwasher didn’t clean very well, the dryer was extremely loud, the fridge ice maker leaked constantly and didn’t work, and at one point the hot tub stopped heating because the pool/spa water levels got out of balance. Some bedding and kitchen items could have been cleaner as well.That said, we still really enjoyed our time here overall and felt these were mostly manageable issues that could be fixed pretty easily."

"Best vacation ever! This was our first trip to Maui, and it truly exceeded every expectation. There were 6 of us — my husband and I, our daughter and her friend (22 & 24), and our son and his friend (both 18). The location was absolutely perfect, within walking distance to amazing restaurants, Whalers Village, Black Rock, and nearby resorts. The condo had more than enough space for everyone to spread out and relax comfortably. It was stocked with everything we could possibly need. Each day chairs and umbrellas were ready for us, making beach days effortless and relaxing. The outdoor grilling area was also so convenient, with a cabinet fully stocked with grilling essentials. Having a fully equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare meals and enjoy dinners together. Everywhere we went was beautiful, spotless, and well-maintained — from the rooms and grounds to the beach and pool area. The staff was incredible — always friendly, welcoming, and eager to help in any way they could. Maui truly felt like paradise, and we already can’t wait to go back. "
