"It’s a hundred year old hotel that is slowly dying. It’s in constant repair. The draw is the history and the beautiful opera house. Marta Becket created wonderful murals thru out the hotel and the whole opera house. A piece of history that needs to be kept. "

"It is the last opportunity to stay before entering death valley, when you turn left at the next junction. So you can buy enough to drink (and perhaps to eat) to travel 75 miles through the valley until you reach for example the Ranch at Furnace Creek. There is a moderate warm swimming pool just around the corner. It is permanently fed by a warm natural source or spring. Every guest may have a key to visit it."

"This place was very spacious inside. We felt like everyone had their own space for sure. The beds were comfy and the living room along with the kitchen was a good size! Also, Dave and his dog Keiko were very friendly when we saw them at check out and even took our family pic outside his blooming cactus! Overall, a very good stay for sure. Will stay again if I’m back out this way."

"If you are wanting to cook your own meals, this isn't for you. If, on the other hand? You want a luxurious place to stay that us illegible clean with some of the softest sheets you've ever felt, this is. If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. "

"Adrian was an excellent host. The Sun Room was charming, well appointed and it featured a patio deck with sweeping views of Lake Tecopa and the mountains. A collection of cast iron tubs offered a unique private hot springs experience. The host provided a summary of the best local spots for eats & drinks and the “ not to be missed” attractions including China Ranch date farm and the Shoshone Museum.
