"The hotel is charming and in an excellent location for exploring Shrewsbury. The room was very comfortable. As the hotel is in a very old building you need to be aware of steps and slopes in the floor and the stairs are quite steep (no lift). The bar is good, and the food we had at both dinner and breakfast was of a very high quality. The hotel has a small car park, with quite a narrow entrance. We were fine getting in, but, in any case there is plenty of reasonably priced parking not far away. The hotel is close to the river and we would also recommend visiting the prison! The staff were friendly and helpful."

"Brilliant stay, the building was full of character, the staff were super friendly and it always had a good vibe about it. Food looked spot on, we didnt eat there ourselves as we had other plans already but loads of people were. Location was bang in town and it is beautiful, perfect all round"

"Wellbeing areas too many rooms down and jacuzzi down again. My bedroom windows were very old and didn't keep the noise out from the below generator or some kind of ventilation system."

"I've stopped here previously, it is a lovely hotel in a very quiet rural setting, with lovely gardens. The breakfast is freshly prepared. Also a proud Sheffield lad, I give them extra marks for having cutlery " Made in Sheffield ""

"Absolutely fantastic stay at a really lovely property. Very easy to check in, great through information provided to make the stay easy. Great location too, just a 5 min walk into the town centre."
