"The hotel is spotlessly clean, staff very friendly and give good advice of the area. It is a lovely walk into the town too. The food was exceptional everything of choice you could possibly wish for."

"Price was good and close to the quarry park for an event. Room was good and staff were friendly."

"Quirky building which makes a change from modern chain hotels. Rooms are very spacious. Breakfast is available and very good quality although as you have to wait for it to be cooked, it's not ideal if you are in a rush to get away in the morning."

"Great location with parking, friendly staff, good food and drink selection."

"We’ve stayed here about five or six times, great location friendly staff and food is very good."

"Great location, friendly staff, historical building."

"We booked this property for a business stay, and it exceeded expectations. The accommodation was spotless, well-maintained, and exactly as described, offering excellent value for money. The hosts were outstanding—responsive, professional, and genuinely welcoming throughout our stay. The team was very impressed, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Highly recommended!"

"Does what was needed & comfortable beds"

"A bit noisy but great location otherwise"

"Great location and space. Nice small compact but totally suitable space with everything you need. Would happily stay again"

"The room was good and the food was good. The staff were really good especially the restaurant staff. In fact, since the manager Gary has 'not' been here it's been a huge improvement."

"We had a fantastic stay! The apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean, and in an excellent location. The kitchen and living area were both well-equipped and comfortable, making it a great place to relax. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area. One small suggestion for improvement: the laundry took quite a while to complete a cycle, so providing a few additional instructions for using the washer and dryer would be helpful for future guests."

"Pleasant stay, good sized rooms. Perfect location as in easy walk to town and river. Overlooking abbey. A little noisy if sleeping in front bedrooms"
