"Little touches go a long way we was disappointed on arrival there was no welcome basket or little gesture or welcome note as previous cottars I have been too, just a pint of milk in the fridge. Had we known we would have stopped to get tea bags and bread and more loo roll after a 3hr drive. The lighting on the stairs to the bedroom had 2 bulbs out, the top bedrooms sink didn’t drain properly and the en-suite lights didn’t work properly."

"We recently stayed at Crafty Cottage in the village of Chipping Campden along with our dog. The cottage is very well equipped, comfortable, exceptionally clean and very well positioned for walks, shops and all the pubs and restaurants in the village which are all dog friendly. There are a number of other villages that are just a short drive away. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or book other accommodation with Bolthole Retreats."

"Over all the hotel is good, it is in a great location and the staff were very friendly and professional. The room was good for an overnight stay and the food was good, with good portions. The downsides: toilet didn't work properly (reported) and the shower is on the small side; also there are no hooks or rails to hang coats / clothes from! The other downside particularly on the Friday night we stayed is that the bar was open to 1am and there was a live DJ; it was loud & interupted our sleep, & although it finished at midnight, people leaving were quite loud up to 1am. Overall OK but avoid the live music nights!"
