Orchard Hotel Singapore

Orchard Hotel Singapore

10/10 Excellent
"First time to Singapore so wasn’t sure about location, luckily the metro is a 4/5 min walk. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. Lovely bar downstairs and a grocery store on the bottom floor."

Artyzen Singapore

8/10 Good
"Room: very nice rooms, however it needs the following improvements. Firstly, cleanliness. A big cockroach was found in our room. We had to use our room slipper to kill it. Secondly, the water heater is bad. We had two rooms. Both rooms’ hot water systems are bad. The water is not warm at all. Thirdly, the water kettle always overflow although we didn’t fill the water to the max level. It looks fancy but is faulty. Fourthly, pillow is too soft. Had a stiff neck from sleeping on it. Fifthly, they used a soft metal tube to contain the conditioner. However, due to the pressure, the conditioner squirted everywhere when we try to open it. Making a mess everywhere. Breakfast: Good attempt to stop food waste by allowing people to order Ala carte food. Nasi lemak was nice but it comes with flaky salmon instead of a nice piece of chicken wing. They have local teh and kopi which is a nice touch. Staff: Staff were friendly. Outdoor pool: Looks dirty. We swam for fifteen minutes and saw phlegm floating on the water. Was grossed out and left. Location: slightly further away from the main Orchard road. Construction right beside hotel currently."

10/10 Excellent
"Breakfast buffet is great but you need to get down there early to avoid crowds. Staff are incredibly helpful and nice. Akiro was particularly good at providing recommendations and being very engaging. Club level access was a big highlight. I assumed that we would not use it very much but we did almost every day. There are great light refreshments and snacks as well as a beautiful space to sit and relax. The swimming pool was a real highlight - resort style pool in a city hotel. I loved that even if it was raining you could sit by the pool and not get wet because of the roof. A loft room was excellent for 2 adults and a child - the balcony was also very useful. The only issue is that if you have large suitcases the room may feel tight. Overall excellent experience."

"Rooms are small but well organized and very clean. They even have separate drinking water taps (this, even though all tap water in Singapore is potable). Good location near lots of restaurants and not too expensive. All check in and out on kiosks in tech-crazy Singapore, but staff are right there to help."
