For the price, I was disappointed. 4:40 check-in?! No continental breakfast?! Should be at most a $300/night rate not a $500/night rate. I am puzzled as to how this resort got a 4th star. The place wreaks of mismanagement & needs to invest in its staff & their professional development. Staff I encountered in reservations, guest services, housekeeping & dining were polite & deserve better. The customers certainly deserve better. There are also areas of blatant inefficiency -standing, staring off, not helping people. The furniture in the lobby is dirty and worn. Same w/ the grounds outside and a lot of the furniture except the pool loungers (seemed fine). We were the first to arrive at the Lagoon Pool (kids pool) Sat & Sun & the grounds were not clean--there was sticky residue from spilled drinks from day before (why is there hard alc. there?); so was the bathroom (from the day before) to the point of unusable. The bathroom off the lobby was also not clean in the morning - there is no attendant to maintain it more regularly. So then just go up to your room--but with only one elevator working on Sunday that could take 15-20 minutes (30-40 roundtrip). W/ children, elderly or anyone really it's unreasonable. The quality of the food - w/ the exception of fresh muscles is poor. It's like eating at Friday's only prettier. The cafe also needs to get w/ the 21st century. No one wants to eat a cupcake the size of their head. Nor do we want fake Greek yogurt...
