We walked for fresh bread and croissants every morning, explored the region and then refreshed in the pool and listened to the frogs in the pond every evening. The home has such incredible history and we spent the entire week exploring the Dordogne and Vezere river valleys, gardens and castles and falling in love with the medieval town of Sarlat. "What a fantastic chateau. Amazing building, beautiful grounds, and a great swimming pool. We had plenty of space for our party of 12 to eat together, but also to get some quiet time when needed. It’s in a great location - about 25 minutes from Sarlat, and less than 10 minutes from the river, with easy access for kayaking and paddle boarding. There are plenty of other places to visit - the hardest part is leaving the chateau!"

"We have had a disappointing experience with this vacation rental. All four of us have suffered from bed bugs. We initially thought we were dealing with mosquitoes. But the bites got so big and painful that it wasn't until later that we realized we were dealing with bed bugs. We complained about this to the landlord afterwards and it seemed only reasonable to us that they would refund half as our holiday enjoyment was seriously ruined. We have not received any response from the landlords."
