Top Siskiyou Smokejumper Base Museum Hotel Reviews
Motel 6 Grants Pass, OR
8/10 Good
"Great place for the price-the only issue was the cleaners used in the rooms smelled very strong and did not dissipate much when I aired out the room.
Otherwise, I always enjoy my stays here"
"Staff was very nice and helpful getting us checked in. The hotel resembles a log cabin, rustic feel. The deluxe rooms have a nice view of the pool and the river. There is extra parking for oversized vehicles. The room was clean and good size. The continental breakfast was good."
"Great resort, beautiful views! Loved our stay here! Highly recommend! The only issue I had was being mistakenly charged for a pillow that we did not take, it took multiple calls to get it resolved."
"The staff on site fixed errors in my on line reservations, which was super helpful. The room could have been a little more appointed and the gym is not really a gym it was poorly ventilated and the items there were very used. Overall I would recommend, great beaches are close it was quite with a casino experience that was good."
River Front Getaway Awesome Views Fish/Swim Out the Back Door
10/10 Excellent
"We loved our stay at The River House. The property is in a safe area of Crescent city, conveniently located between the beach and the Jedediah Redwoods. Our vacation didn’t go according to plan, with a visit to the ER 12 hours after arriving, but having a cozy home for my husband to recover in and keep my kids busy during the recovery helped save our vacation. The house is indeed fully stocked, so that was very appreciated. Small things you never pack or anticipate needing (like a heating pad) were there. There’s even a crock pot I wish I had found earlier. My kids loved searching for banana slugs, frogs in the river, making s’mores and playing lots of ping pong. What a great house. We will be back (hopefully without kidney stones)."
"It’s easy to feel the lodge vibe at this great location on the river and also to recognize that it could use a bit of TLC around the edges.
Disappointed that dining room was closed.
Continental breakfast had numerous options- thank you.
We never saw a staff member during our stay-
Felt like the place had just held an event and everyone had gone home…..
For the price paid value was not there.
Great potential for lodge to be really nice"
River Oasis, all the comforts of home, with the beauty of the Chetco River!
10/10 Excellent
"I could write a book about how awesome our trip was!!! It definitely started with the River Oasis! Check-in was as easy as could be. House was extremely clean and inviting. There was some trash out under the deck from a graduation party, quick clean, no problem. The house has everything you need. Beds and linens are spot on. The upstairs has a different layout. Not private enough for two separate couples but not a problem for us. It is definitely the scenery and the nature and the deck/hottub that are the jewels of this property!!! Mornings and evenings offer two different worlds. Each day is a different weather pattern, so vert beautiful. You definitely want to stay up here and visit the beach, not the other way around. We enjoyed Woodpeckers, Squirrels, Seagulls, Blue Herons, Ducks, and other Birds. We had a small herd of deer (10-12) visit 3 or 4 times and there is a working ranch across the river which makes it seem more in the middle of nowhere. And the Chetco River is siren. I was told it is one of the only untouched rivers in the nation, since the dawn of time.Running out of words. Brookings is great!! All shops, all restaurants!!! Get fresh seafood!!!! Go to multiple beaches, we liked Whaleshead Beach. Go to Trees of Mystery definitely, and Ocean World. I want my only negatives to be funny;Bidet, the Women loved it, the Men hated it!And nobody needs a motion sensing kitchen faucet, they just freak people out.Great place, great value, unbeatable location!!!"
