"We had 10 friends for a birthday gathering and these units were perfect. The two units are connected by balcony and can sleep 12 people. Having two kitchens was perfect! The host met us at checkin and gave us a run down of facility and the best places to eat. We were about 7 miles from downtown Placencia so the resort was nice and quiet. The pool was perfect as well as swimming off the private dock. Beach was well manicured with corn hole and volleyball. Kayaks and bikes were available for use....

"Our stay at Honu was awesome. The location was perfect. It was a little outside of Placencia and Maya Beach which was great. Quiet area right on the beach. The pool was awesome to have. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything you needed. Check-in was really easy. Someone met us there on the day and let us in and showed us around. Could ask for a better ending to our trip"

"This property is managed by Vacasa and it's a nuisanse. When you're traveling you'd appreciate having all the information in one source. Unfortunately, in this case VRBO site merely redirects you elsewhere which is often inconvenient. The house was as e+xpected although we were unlucky to have a bit of surf that rendered the water totally murky. The locals recommended agains swimming because of the stingrays common in the area and danger of stepping on one when hothing can be seen. We still...

"We LOVED our little apartment. You can be part of the laid back, in town vibe on the front porch or step inside and close the curtains for privacy. On site owner is friendly and very helpful with local info. We enjoyed being able to walk to nearby restaurants or cook for ourselves as desired. Groceries, fruit/veggie stands are easy walking distance, safe parking, and the apartment contains everything necessary. We will definitely return!"

"I loved this property as it was in the heart of the Garifuna culture. Once you get your bearings and just smile and walk the street and beach, you find amazingly friendly people. The room was simple and functional with a large balcony overlooking the street and beach. Drums banged away until 9PM and stopped sharply. We went a block away and discovered a family business called QueenBean. The son served us drinks on swings right on the beach. The mom cooked us amazing food and the aunty can give...

"I was looking for something quiet and out of the way of the major tourist areas and this was perfect! No noise, no golf carts but walking distance to everything. It was incredibly clean and well stocked with towels and kitchen items. The bathroom is gorgeous! I If I wasn't diving or riding my bike, I was in the hammock listening to the waves or star gazing. Will absolutely be back!"
