Due to the age of the building, it has a fun and quirky layout - Bedroom 6 and Bathroom 4 are accessed through Bedroom 5 via a tiny doorway - perfect for kids sharing! Bedroom 2 & 3 share bathroom 2 which is 'Jack & Jill' style. The door to the ensuite in bedroom 4 is also tiny, so no-one with bad backs! Floor plan will be available to help you organise your stay.
Full private access to the house, shop and garden. A smart lock provides easy self check in, or guests can be met at the property if this is preferred.

Damage Protection & Guest Verification
To help ensure a secure and smooth experience for all guests, we’re currently in the process of transitioning to SuiteOp, our new platform for guest verification and damage protection.
While this transition is underway, we kindly ask guests to complete damage protection by selecting one of the following options:
A refundable security deposit of £300, returned after your stay (subject to no damage being reported), or
A non-refundable damage waiver of £90, which covers up to £500 in accidental damage.
You’ll receive a secure payment link shortly to complete your chosen option ahead of your arrival. This step helps us prepare everything for a seamless check-in and ensures peace of mind for both parties.

There is no parking at The Old Shop due to it's High Street location, there is restricted 1 hour street parking outside (Mon-Sat 9am-6pm, no return within 2 hrs), there's a short stay carpark in Brewery Road called Milton Court with 10 spaces:

There is free on street parking in local roads: Crown Road, Brewery Road, Cooks Lane, Beechwood Avenue etc
Sittingbourne Train Station is only a 14 minute walk away, and it's an hour to central London on the train. The train station is opposite the Light Cinema and entertainment venue, perfect for family fun!
Due to the period charm of the Old Shop, with its low doorways and steep stairs, it is unsuitable for people with mobility issues
The Old Shop is self-catering accommodation. We provide the essentials to get you started, such as a small supply of toilet rolls and kitchen basics. For longer stays or if you run out during your visit, you’re welcome to top up as needed, there are convenience shops on the High Street or Morrisons is an 8 minute walk
