The ruins of the palace of Knossos are spectacular. You are able to walk around and through the majority of the rooms and get some great pictures. Definitely worth a visit and I'd also recommend going to the archaeological museum in Heraklion which is about 5km from Knossos, you can get a combined ticket for 16 euros!

"I felt at home immediately, and it`s seems bigger than on the pictures, very comfy bed and two bathrooms/shower with toilet. Kitchen was fully equiped. I found lots of goodies - herbs, tea, coffee shampoo,bodylotion etc.. But bring your own repellent the outdoor pool attractive for mosquitos. "Que dire si ce n'est que nous avons passé deux fabuleuses semaine. La maison est confortable et nous avons surtout profité d'un extérieur paradisiaque.On se sent comme à la maison il y a des animaux et les chiens sont adorables le coq est sympa et ne chante pas trop tôt Enfin le meilleur pour la fin l'hôte Vagelis et sa femme sont des gens en or , toujours à l'écoute et de bon conseil sans compter le lait de chèvre et les oeufs offert et le panier de bienvenue"
